The university’s legacy Avaya telecommunications system is not funded or supported in the new fiscal year. Moving to RingCentral leverages modern technology for a more flexible, scalable, and cost-effective communication solution.
Guided by a comprehensive transition plan, the smooth migration to RingCentral across the campus is 90% complete. Emergency services migrated to RingCentral earlier this semester.
The few departments still using the Avaya system have been notified these telecommunication services will end on June 30.
To minimize disruptions due to a disconnected phone line, contact the CIT telecommunications team before May 30. These team members have been assisting departments with their migrations to RingCentral since 2020, providing support and resources that help reduce individual fears about change.
